INTRAGEN ACADEMY

Helping address Europe’s IAM talent shortage

Skills availability at the entry level in Identity and Access Management represents a real challenge across the IT industry. The Intragen Academy is a programme that is addressing the issue in a scalable way, educating talented, young people and helping them kickstart their careers.

The IAM resourcing challenge

The majority of successful hacks are now the result of poor identity management discipline. This has now become the focus of most organisations’ cyber security investment. As a result, the market for Identity and Access ManagementIdentity Governance and Privileged Access Management solutions – is growing fast. So too is the complexity of these products.

These factors have combined to make skills scarce and therefore increasingly difficult for organisations to recruit and retain. As a result, Intragen have taken on more responsibility and we are investing in building skills and consulting capacity at speed.

"Europe faces a severe IAM talent shortage. Security risks are rising, IAM is the front line of defence. Enterprises can't scale their IAM programmes without talent".

Intragen Academy: Your talent pipeline for IAM success

Intragen's Academy, based in Athens and fully owned and managed by Intragen, recruits top technical graduates from across Europe.

The programme provides intensive training in Identity and Access Management (IAM) tools, methodologies, and communication skills. This includes skills from across vendor technologies, not limiting the training to one in particular.

A scalable delivery engine

Intragen’s Academy maintains full ownership of its talent pipeline, with no CV reselling or body shopping. All consultants are fully aligned with Intragen’s values and methodologies. The programme focuses on developing both technical and soft skills, including communication, client interaction, and documentation.

Based in the EU, the Academy supports fast onboarding and strong consultant retention. Client tools, values and ways of working are embedded into the programme, helping consultants align quickly with each organisation’s methods.

"The Academy was a great experience for me. During the academy I had high motivation to complete my exercises and improve my skills. I have joined a project and recognised that what I learned from the Academy helped me understand more advanced solutions and improve my skills further."

Kostas Orfanouduis

IAM Engineer, Intragen

"I have been really impressed with the quality of the team in Athens. I have now worked on projects with a number of the Academy Graduates and the levels of professionalism and skill they have shown has been superb. I have every confidence in introducing them to clients."

Colin Miles

Client Solutions Director, Intragen

"The Academy is very well structured. Its curated material along with mentor's supervision helped immerse me into a linear path for training in the specific technology of IAM. It also prepared me for real world scenarios! It was an exceptional journey towards acquiring new skills and knowledge that made me confident in starting my career in a solid and strong foundation."

Georgia Kakouti

Client case study

An Intragen client faced a challenge in finding qualified IAM engineers, struggling to recruit six suitable candidates locally for over eight months.

To address this, Intragen deployed four consultants from its Academy within just six weeks. As a result, the client’s IAM rollout progressed faster, the internal team’s workload was reduced, and the project was better positioned to meet its audit timeline.
